I have been the son of my parents for 50 years now. It was during those most impressionable years that my father taught me the art of applying shingles in parallel lines. I suppose it would be easy to do in an environmentally controlled laboratory on a flat surface but it can be a challenge in the wild.
Having done residential roof shingles for 15 years has enabled me to observe different types of material degradation and the consequences of inferior labor techniques. It is for these reasons that I recommend the products and repair procedures on this site.
