Repair Supplies
Here are the products I use, and write about, on this website.  I only use the best products so that I don't have to go back and fix my customers' problems for free later on.  You can buy some cheaper stuff just to save a couple dollars in the front end, but think of all your valuable items that could be damaged, or costly repairs you'll have to make if your roof leaks.  It's better to buy the good stuff from this website.

Roof Repair Commercial Grade Polyurethane Caulking

!

This is the "black caulk" that I use for roof PVC pipe boots, brick counterflashing, and skylights (for HVAC pipes, use tripolymer caulk listed below).  One tube of sealant should do 5 or 6 pipe jacks and each tube should seal approx. 8 to 12 linear feet of counterflashing on brick.  If you are unsure of how much to buy, or if you are more liberal in your application of the caulk, it would be better to get more caulk in the beginning of the project so you don't run out.

Roof Repair Commercial Grade Tripolymer Clear Caulking

This is the "Clear Caulk" I use for HVAC pipes and skylights (for PVC pipes use the Polyurethane caulk listed above).

Roof Repair PVC Pipe Boot Gasket (1-2 inch pipe)

!
This PVC pipe boot gasket fits 1" or easily cut to fit a 2" PVC pipe boot.  If you are getting up on your roof yourself to do a roof repair for one pipe boot, you may as well fix them all. Be sure to count how many pipe boots you have and buy enough gaskets for the roof repair project.

Roof Repair PVC Pipe Boot Gasket (3-4 inch pipe)

!
This PVC pipe boot gasket fits 3" or easily cut to fit a 4" PVC pipe boot.  If you are getting up on your roof yourself to do a roof repair for one pipe boot, you may as well fix them all. Be sure to count how many pipe boots you have and buy enough gaskets for the roof repair project.

Roofing Prybar

!
This is the best prybar to use for removing difficult to get to roofing nails. It's shape and length is ideal for separating sticking shingles and removing nails.

Roofing Knife

!
This roofing knife comes with a hookblade made to cut shingles on the face side instead of from the rear.  It swivels open to change blades and is angled to reach into tight spaces with good cutting leverage.
